First Free Friday

First Free Friday takes place the first Friday of March, April, July, August, September and during the Christmas Walk in 2018. The museum is open and free to the public from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. There are always docents in every gallery, and frequently local performers will entertain. All performances are either free or on a donation basis, and are family friendly. Check the calendar for specific listings.
October, 5, 2018:  There will not be a First Free Friday event in October. Join us instead for Patuxent River Appreciation Days on Saturday, October 6 and Sunday, October 7. Click here for more information about this FREE event.

November 2, 2018:
  There will not be a First Free Friday event in November.
December 7-8: Solomons Christmas Walk
The museum is open and FREE to the public from 6 - 9 p.m. Enjoy musical entertainment, Santa, Bubbles the otter, and holiday refreshments. Do your holiday shopping in the Museum Store as CMM members get 20% off during the Walk and all weekend!
From June – September, the Drum Point Lighthouse is open. Free 30 minute cruises on the Wm. B. Tennison are available.

In December, the Christmas Walk coincides with First Free Friday and the museum is open from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m., both Friday and Saturday, the first full weekend in December.
