Solomons Amphibious Training Base

The Cradle of Invasion was a tribute to the Soldiers, Sailors and Marines that trained at the United States Naval Amphibious Training Base at Solomons, Maryland. Military personnel trained at the little known but highly important training facility, then went on to see action in Europe, North Africa, and the South Pacific. Ironically, this included amphibious assaults on the Solomon Islands.
