2012 Summer Concerts
Waterside Concerts at The Calvert Marine Museum
Since 1985, our Waterside Music Series has been cultivated and refined to become the most popular performing arts venue in Southern Maryland. It is the museum’s most important fundraising event and it assists in raising nearly 40 percent of the museum’s annual budget; a budget which is used to reach out to our area’s children and educate over 20,000 kids each year about maritime history, local culture, and the environment.
Our productions kick-off and end the summer season with sensational performances by major recording artists. Highlight productions have featured B.B. King, Willie Nelson, James Brown, Chicago, Bob Dylan, Sara Evans, Bill Cosby, The Doobie Brothers, Bonnie Raitt, Styx & 38 Special, Hank Williams, Jr., Steve Miller Band, and more. Our fall and winter concerts bring some of the best up-and-coming musicians in the Mid-Atlantic region to the CMM auditorium, playing blues, rock, folk and more, for a variety of tastes. The Waterside Music Series would not be possible without the generous support of many local businesses.
