Family Events
The Calvert Marine Museum is a family museum and every day is an opportunity to create family memories. To take full advantage of our offerings, we encourage you to consider membership in the museum. We offer special programming during all school holidays. Be sure to check out the Calendar of Events for details.

Magic Show with Super Magic Comedian, Reggie Rice – June 21 & July 12. 7 p.m. in the auditorium. $4 per person

Pirate Day – Scheduled in November
June 19 - The Southern Library Branch will present Summer Time Story Time at the Calvert Marine Museum in the Maritime Hall Solomons area at 10 a.m. This 30-minute, drop-in program is for all ages. For more information, call the Library at 410-326-5289.
June 22 - 24 - The Kalmar Nyckel, queen of the tall ship fleet, will dock at Watermen's Wharf on Solomons Island, next to the Chesapeake Biological Lab Visitor's Center. Pirate sails will be offered Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., sunset sails from 5 p.m. - 7:30 p.m., and an afternoon sail on Sunday from 3 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. Kalmar Nyckel will host FREE public dockside tours from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Sunday.
