First Free Friday
First Free Friday takes place the first Friday of every month. The museum is open free to the public from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. There are always docents in every gallery, and frequently local performers will entertain. All performances are either free or on a donation basis, and are family friendly. Check the calendar for specific listings.
September 5, 2014: Museum is open and FREE to the public from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. The Galleries and Drum Point Lighthouse are open with trained interpreters on hand to answer questions. Free 30 minute cruises on the Wm. B. Tennison. The Naval Academy Band, Commandant's Combo, will perform at 6 p.m. in the Harms Gallery
October 3, 2014: No First Free Friday. The museum will be open and Free to the public on October 11 and 12 for PRAD.
November 7, 2014: 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. Music in the Harms Gallery by Some Assembly starting at 6:30 p.m. New Estuarine Biology exhibit, River to Bay, open. Come tell us what you think!
December 5, 2014: Join us for the Solomons Christmas Walk from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m.
From June – September the Drum Point Lighthouse is open. Free 30 minute cruises on the Wm. B. Tennison are available May, June and September, sponsored by Dennis and Jan Biennas and M&T Bank.
In December, the Christmas Walk coincides with First Free Friday and the museum is open from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m., both Friday and Saturday, the first full weekend in December.
