EVA
Friday, November 4 at the Calvert Marine Museum

The Maritime Performance Series has kicked off at the Calvert Marine Museum and is proud to add EVA to the line-up on Friday, November 4, 2016. An evening of contemporary folk music featuring breathtaking voices with roots in Ireland, Australia, the UK, and the USA begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are $12 online, $15 at the door and available at www.bit.ly//MaritimeConcerts. Doors open at 6 p.m. with beer and wine for sale. Hear them now at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8kweho7y_jc

Kath Buckell (AUS), Liz Simmons and Nicole Zuraitis (both from the US) lend their three distinct voices to create powerful harmonies anchored on the textured landscape of guitar, piano, and percussion, accompanied by expert drummer Dan Pugach. EVA has been touring with legendary singer/songwriters Livingston Taylor (brother to James Taylor and top 40 hit-maker), Tom Chapin, three time Grammy winner and brother to Harry Chapin 'Cat's In The Cradle' and the iconic singer/songwriter MELANIE, who catapulted to fame at Woodstock '69 festival, and who has sold over 80 million records worldwide with hits such as 'Brand New Key', 'Lay Down Candles In The Rain' and 'Look What They've Done To My Song, Ma'.

The Maritime Performance Series is sponsored in part by Holiday Inn Solomons. To support the Maritime Performance Series, Eastman Handcrafted Guitars & Mandolins has donated a beautiful rosewood and mahogany acoustic guitar and hard case, valued at $700, to be raffled. Tickets are available at all concerts, during our First Free Friday events, and in the Museum Store. Tickets are $10 each or 3 for $20. Drawing will take place at the last Maritime Performance concert on Friday, March 17, 2017.
