Tuesday, November 1, Thursday, November 3 and Wednesday, November 9 – Sea Squirts
10: a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Theme is Camouflage. Free drop-in program for children 18-months to 3 years and their caregivers.
Friday, November 4 – Maritime Performance Series presents EVA
7 p.m. in the Harms Gallery. Enjoy an evening of contemporary folk music featuring breathtaking voices with roots in Ireland, Australia, the UK, and the USA. Tickets are $12 online, and $15 at the door and available at www.bit.ly//MaritimeConcerts. Doors open at 6 p.m. with beer and wine for sale.
Sunday, November 6 – “On Watch” Memorial Service
2 p.m. at the site of the “On Watch” statue at the end of Dowell Road, Dowell Maryland. Join us to thank all of our veterans for their service. Refreshments served following the program.
Tuesday, November 8 – Maryland Symbols Day
10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Discover how many of Maryland’s symbols can be found in the museum on a Maryland symbol scavenger hunt. Decode the Maryland state flag, and use symbols to create your own personal flag. Ongoing throughout the day. FREE with museum admission.
Thursday, November 10 – 2016 PEM Talks presents Pete Lesher
7 p.m. in the Harms Gallery. PEM Talks focuses on Vanished Steamboats: The Maritime Art of C. Leslie Oursler, the exhibit currently on display in the Mezzanine Gallery. Pete Lesher is Chief Curator at the Chesapeake Maritime Museum and will broaden the focus of steamboats throughout the Chesapeake. FREE lecture.
Friday, November 11 – Special Needs Night
5 p.m. – 7 p.m. Free family fun night for families with special needs offered in cooperation with Calvert County Parks and Recreation Therapeutic Recreation Services. The museum will be open exclusively for all individuals with special needs and their families. The museum’s otter mascot will visit from 6 p.m. – 7 p.m. Enjoy the skates and rays, fish, fossils, maritime history, the Discovery Room, and have fun in a supportive environment. A seated massage will be provided, courtesy of College of Southern Maryland’s Massage Therapy Department. The Museum Store will be open and chock full of fun items.
Thursday, November 17 – Little Minnows
10 a.m. – 11 a.m. A program for children age 3 – 5 and their caregivers. Theme is Camouflage. Fee is $5, CMM members are FREE.
Thursday, November 17 – Pub Night
7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Bring your friends and enjoy an evening of sea chanteys, nautical theme songs, and hearty cheer. Beer and wine available for sale. FREE event.
Thursday, November 24 – Thanksgiving Day
The Museum and Museum Store are closed.
Friday, November 25 – American Indian Heritage Day
10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Celebrate the culture of the indigenous peoples of Southern Maryland. Check the daily events schedule at the admissions desk for special tour times. FREE with museum admission.

The museum is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $9.00 for adults, $7.00 for seniors, military with valid I.D. and AAA members, and $4.00 for children ages 5 - 12; children under 5 and museum members are always admitted free.
