Saturday, February 4 – SHARKABET Exhibit Opens
10 a.m. – 5 p.m. See the new traveling exhibit based on the book "Sharkabet: A Sea of Sharks from A to Z" by Ray Troll. The exhibit features Troll's whimsical fishy paintings of both living and extinct sharks representing each letter of the alphabet. It will be on display on the Mezzanine Level through December 2017.
Tuesday, February 7 and Thursday, February 9 - Sea Squirts
10 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Rockin' Reptiles! FREE drop-in program for children 18 month to 3 years and their caregivers.
Friday, February 10 – Sunday, February 12 – Jewelry Trunk Show
11 a.m. - 4 p.m. The Museum Store presents an exquisite selection of jewelry that highlights both new artists and perennial favorites. Get a free box of sea salt caramels with a $50 or more jewelry purchase. New this year is special guest, Black Point Chocolatier, on hand with delectable samples of handcrafted chocolates and confections, also for sale.
Wednesday, February 15 – Sea Squirts
10 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Rockin' Reptiles! FREE drop-in program for children 18 month to 3 years and their caregivers.
Friday, February 17 - The Redwine Jazz Band Plays Mardi Gras
7 p.m. in the Harms Gallery. The Maritime Performance Series presents The Redwine Jazz Band Plays Mardi Gras performing classic American Jazz. Doors open at 6 p.m. with beer and wine available for sale. Tickets are $15 online, $20 at the door and available at www.bit.ly//MaritimeConcerts.
Monday, February 20 - Migrating Birds Homecoming
11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m. In just a few weeks, many birds will begin their preparations for springtime. Help make their move easier by creating a nesting box and nets filled with bright and colorful nesting materials. Check out a pair of binoculars from the Discovery Room to use in the Marsh Walk, where you may see the first signs of our feathered friends as they return to the Chesapeake. FREE with museum admission. The Museum Store will be stocking plush Audubon birds with real bird calls, along with plenty of bird identification books for children and adults.
Friday, February 24 - Little Minnows
10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Sea Horses. For children ages 3 to 5 years old and their caregivers. Fee is $5, CMM members are FREE.
Saturday, February 25 - Fossil Club Meeting and Lecture
1 p.m. in the third floor Lounge, followed by a public lecture in the Harms Gallery. Interested in joining the CMM Fossil Club? Attend the meeting to learn more information. At the public lecture, George Klein will reference his newly published book and speak on "Crocodiles and Alligators - My Perspective." FREE.
Saturday, February 25 – Build a Toy Boat
2 p.m. – 4 p.m. Make your own toy boat in the Maritime History Hall with sessions starting on the half hour. $2 donation requested with museum admission.

The museum is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $9.00 for adults, $7.00 for seniors, military with valid I.D. and AAA members, and $4.00 for children ages 5 - 12; children under 5 and museum members are always admitted free.
