Tuesday, January 9, Thursday, January 11 and Wednesday, January 17 – Sea Squirts
10 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.Wacky Weather! Free drop-in program for children 18 months to 3 years old and their caregivers. Space is limited; if the session is full, another program will be offered at 11 a.m.
Monday, January 15 – Martin Luther King Jr. Day
10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Join us as we honor Maryland-born abolitionist Frederick Douglass. Tours at
1 p.m. and 3 p.m. will highlight Douglass, his connections to the Chesapeake, and his contributions toward equal rights for African Americans. FREE with museum admission.
Thursday, January 18 – “The Happiest of All Showboat Stories: The James Adams Floating Theatre”
7 p.m. in the Harms Gallery. At the Water’s Edge Lecture Series presents “The Happiest of All Showboat Stories: The James Adams Floating Theatre.” Presented by Patricia Samford, FREE and open to the public.
Friday, January 19 – LuLu’s Fate
7 p.m. in the Harms Gallery. The Maritime Performance Series presents LuLu’s Fate. Enjoy a mix of music from the Appalachian, southern string band, and country blues traditions, as well as early swing, gospel, original tunes and covers ranging from Hank Williams to Tom Waits.
Doors open at 6 p.m. with beer and wine available for sale. Tickets are $15 online; $20 at the door and available at www.calvertmarinemuseum.com.
Saturday, January 20 – Museum Members Save 20%
10 – 11 a.m. Museum members are invited for coffee and donuts. Members enjoy a 20% discount in the Museum Store all day today and on the 20th of every month!
Thursday, January 25 – Little Minnows
10 a.m. - 11 a.m. Hungry Bear, Sleepy Bear! For children ages 3 to 5 years old and their caregivers. Fee is $5, CMM members are FREE.
Thursday, January 25 – Gills Club
5:30 – 7 p.m. FREE program designed for girls ages 7 – 12 interested in learning more about sharks. Gills Club is a STEM-focused program from the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy. Saturday, January 27 – Build a Toy Boat
2 p.m. - 4 p.m. Make your own toy boat in the Harms Gallery with sessions starting on the half hour. $2 donation per boat requested with museum admission.

The museum is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $9.00 for adults, $7.00 for seniors, military with valid I.D. and AAA members, and $4.00 for children ages 5 - 12; children under 5 and museum members are always admitted free.
