ANTIQUE BOAT & MARINE ENGINE SHOW
Join us for the 15th annual Antique Boat & Marine Engine Show on Saturday, May 2 at the Calvert Marine Museum. A popular component of the Solomons Maritime Festival, show hours are 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Admission to the show and museum is FREE.
Marine engines and vintage boats from enthusiasts around the country will be on display in front of the museum and in the parking lot. A fully restored and operational 1957 Mercury Mk 25 outboard motor with gas tank will be raffled late Saturday afternoon. Tickets are $10 each and winner does not need to be present. Beautifully restored by Tim DeGennaro, a member of the Antique Outboard Motor Club has contributed the motor with a portion of the proceeds benefitting the Calvert Marine Museum. Local members of The Southern Maryland Boat Club will also have their vintage race boats on display.
See the museum’s Thrills and Spills exhibit on the Mezzanine level inside the museum. This exhibit tells the exciting story of powerboat racing in Southern Maryland. For more information about the Antique Boat & Marine Engine Show, contact Richard Dodds at doddrj@co.cal.md.us.
